TAAG Angola
TAAG Angola Airlines, often simply referred to as TAAG, is the national flag carrier of Angola, headquartered in Luanda. Founded in 1938, the airline has its main hub at Quatro de Fevereiro Airport. TAAG operates domestic flights within Angola and international services to several destinations across Africa, Europe, South America, and Asia. With decades of experience and innovation, TAAG Angola Airlines is authorized to operate all through the European airspace from 2010 onwards.
In 1940, having a fleet of five small planes, the first flights of TAAG Angola Airlines began from Luanda to Moçâmedes (today’s Namibe), Lobito, and Ponta Negra. Offering premium services, TAAG Angola Airlines maintains a modern fleet comprising of aircraft Boeing 777 – 300ER, Boeing 777 – 200ER, Boeing 737 – 700, and De Havilland Dash 8-Q400. 777 – 300ER is the star of the TAAG Angola fleet and is a spacious widebody aircraft with top technology and facilities, having passenger safety in mind. The aircraft has a cruising speed of 930 km that takes you to destinations, faster and safer.
For promoting easy connectivity and convenient travel, TAAG Angola Airlines has codeshare partnerships with Brussels Airlines, Mozambique Airlines, Lufthansa, Iberia, and GOAL. TAAG Angola Airlines is making history by enhancing connections between Angola and the rest of the world, launching new routes to Europe, Dubai, and China. The airline has a robust safety management system in place and goes through regular audits by international aviation authorities, including the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). TAAG has been awarded IOSA certification by IATA for its commitment to safety.
